Welcome to WDM’s Sheffield group!

The World Development Movement (WDM) is an organisation which campaigns for:

• Justice for the world’s poor

• People before profit

• A sustainable world

We aim to change the actions, policies and institutions of governments, corporations and wealthy minorities, which are preventing an end to poverty and injustice. WDM works alongside people in the developing world, who are standing up to injustice.

Our local group is part of a global movement to end poverty and injustice. Together with 60 other local groups and national WDM we have a real impact.

What does WDM in Sheffield do? The Group campaigns locally, lobbys MPs, has a regular pub group, organises public meetings, publishes a newsletter, does street actions and has stalls at fairs and festivals around Sheffield.
